Tapestry

The quilt was started 2021.02.14 and the top completed 2021.04.28. Which is how it was left for some time. We were at the time not sure it was ever going to be turned into a quilt.
Then in 2022, Barbara's nephew Matt and his partner Tyler dropped in for a visit while Tyler was in town on a business trip. Barbara showed them some of her quilts. Matt really seemed to like this one.
Both of them also liked one or two others. All in all I think three of Barbara's quilts found a new home that day.
The pattern 'Tapestry' is by Jason Yenter, its name comes from the name of the fabric collection he used. I.E. Tapestry. It was a kit purchased at Dragonfly Quilting here in Surrey.
Shortly after Matt and Tyler left town, the quilt was sent off to Catherine Hanna for professional quilting. The stitch pattern is "Fleur de Swirl". Barbara finished the binding on 2022.03.05. It was later mailed to Matt and Tyler in Ottawa.
Tapestry
Unfortunately, my photos are a little off colour-wise. But as the quilt is now in Ottawa, I am unable to correct that problem.
A shot with perhaps more accurate colour, close up of basic quilt block, and the back (quilting barely visible) are also available.
