Bo's Quilt
Background
Well, you know Barbara. If there are 4-legged people at the home a quilt is being gifted to, there needs to be a something for them as well. In this case, the home of Barbara's nephew William, there are in fact 3 such people. But let's start with the biggest one, Bo.
Dragonfly was, for a year or so, offering surprise boxes at various price levels. We got one each time they offer them. Included in a couple of them were small quilt kits. The one we picked for Bo was a pattern called "Birdie". It is rougly a 1 meter square. The fabrics, except for the backing, were included. We eventually bought green herringbone flannel for the backing.
Barbara started it 2025.05.28. Finished the top 2024.06.15. She machine quilted (top stitched) it herself—a stitch in the ditch approach.
Bo's Quilt
The pattern "Birdie" is by Villa Rosa Designs. Though I can't say I understand that name selection.
