Fall 2025: Not Quite A Splendour of Fungi
Barbara and I have taken a few photos of the various fungi we have in the yard this fall at the start of November. So far nothing like the number and variety we had last year. But…
And once again we have not identified the variety of any of them.
The pics were taken by Barbara November 3rd.
These big ones with the basin like tops are out back along the east wall of the garage under a hemlock. Hence the needles in there basins. The clump of three are right by the side door to the garage and were the first ones we noticed.
This variety ranges from 10x12 cm to 18x18 cm in width and 7 to 9 cm in height.
Barbara liked this one because of all the holes in the cap. Someone chewing away?
The following photos were all shot in the bed out front. The one, that last year, had the incredible number and variety of mushrooms and fungi.
The following two photos were of a clump of shrooms under the japanese fir at the northeast corner of the bed.
The next two are a mushroom variety on the west side of the bed, just south of the cedars and east of our tomato bed.
And, that's it for now.
