Subject: Division 4 for 2013-14 VDSL Season

To all clubs, Div 4 captains & players from previous seasons:

We have been reviewing the options for the coming season based on the needs expressed in the two surveys held last spring. And, we have put together our proposal for the coming season. It is available at:

In our proposal you will see that there is no Division 4 currently included for the coming season, and that the teams from last season captained by Wayne Muander and Rip Peterman have been dropped from this season's play. That said, we would very much prefer to have a Division 4 with teams of suitable calibre.

However, we simply don't have the time to devote to finding the necessary teams. Though we expect the Maunder and Peterman teams would be ready and willing to play in a new Division 4. We are therefore putting the onus for building a Division 4 on the captains and players of previous Division 4 teams.

It is absolutely necessary for players from Evergreen, Hollyburn and Lawn to step up and organize teams at their clubs. That especially means someone taking the initiative to captain a team.

If you are interested in building a team, please let us know. Then work with the pro(s) and players at your club to recruit the necessary full-time players and spares.

There isn't much time left. So we need absolute confirmation of any Division 4 teams by August 25th.
